This was the first night for my new Nikon d5300. The d5300 seems to be a direct upgrade from my old d5100, with its lower noise sensor, and better processor. It shoots 4000x6000 with a tiny pixel size, so you can imagine how huge the file sizes were for this image...
I originally wanted to only shoot the Lagoon Nebula, but I found that if I tilted the camera, I could place both nebula in the frame. I quite like the result, I think the two stellar nurseries balance each other out quite well.
